IMPORTANT! Gamejolt Administration Decided to Ban all Adult Content Including our Game

We’re deeply shocked and disappointed by the decision of Gamejolt administration to take down all adult content from their site, including our game.

For many people, pornography is a need, as not everyone for their reasons can get enough satisfaction from sex in real life. The administration, by blindly obeying dogmatic stereotypes, is going to damage thousands of their users while doing better for none.

Another witch-hunt of fighting adult content, hoping to make a better public image, or whatever reason they have in minds, is just ridiculous. The only public image Gamejolt will get by doing so is showing great disrespect to the creators who for free filled with content this site and literally made it from nothing, and to their users who followed and paid for hundreds of adult games on the site. How other creators can count on the goodwill of their platform that without notice and discussion takes the whole section down?

Especially we’re outraged with the phrase “normalizes the sexual acts”. WTF? Is sex something not normal? Even more disgusting is the fact they put the sexual act and sexual violence after a comma like it’s the same thing.

We’re asking our fellow followers as well as each fan of adult games to write an email to the Gamejolt administration (contact@gamejolt.com) telling what you think about their actions. You can do it on Twitter as well - we believe that after hearing the opinions of their users they’ll understand their mistake.

From our side, we can assure you that we’ll keep fighting against the discrimination of adult content and its users by dogmatic sectarians who, led by their sick understanding of justice keep fighting for nothing right and damage to thousands of people who aren’t to blame for anything wrong - except enjoying the God-given gift of sex and love.

Sex is the origin of any life, and therefore it is the life itself. The lack of sexual satisfaction leads only to neurosis and, therefore, tension and hatred in society. Ban of the adult content - literally ban of the sex satisfaction, will only harm everyone. We honestly hope that the Gamejolt administration will again overthink what they’re doing, how much damage they’re causing to people while doing nothing good for anyone, and will cancel this discriminative and unfair decision.

I will says this.
the excuses these sites lay out don't usually reflect what is happening in the background.

they mostly remove adult content because. A) The investors
are pressuring them to remove adult content or they'll back out on funding.
Or
B) The financial institutions or digital wallet companies that deal with the payment processing
Paypal, google pay, apple pay, jpmorgan, etc are pressuring them to remove adult content or they'll shut down payment processing.

What is funny is that even Steam allows adult games. These are odd times. 🤔

Not anymore in germany. We can't even see the dev pages of nsfw developers on Steam anymore (Web version and client version). It's rediculous because the only reason that's been given is that underaged people might be able to buy this stuff (while every way of online banking is available for adults only anyways).

Currently some courts in our country are seriously working on deciding that our ISPs have to block every major porn site. I can't even find words for how backwards societies are moving in some aspects.

Crap, I had a few games on gamejolt that I was playing. Pitty, seemed like a good site. Is there anyone else that's been affected?

You would think Tumblr would be a cautionary tale, but apparently some people feel the need to try the same thing and expect a different result.

They’ll only suffer from it losing the reputation and the audience.

But from what we know it seems they did it to get a 2.5M funding from some old moralists who get hard only by seeing their bank account balance.

Just read through the other comments and This sounds alot like the plot of "shimoneta: a world where the concept of dirty jokes don't exist"

i'm sorry you have to deal with this crap, censorship is getting out of control, but don't forget about subscribe star

If we won’t act to fight this censorship madness there won’t be any adult sites, you’ll have to go to the darknet to watch it. The fact that society still takes porn as something disgusting and harmful is the main issue.

I know, I just don't want to go to far

I'm glad I don't use that site. I hope itch doesn't follow suit. I'm so sick of puritanical attitudes taking over various websites in recent years.

(+2)

Their disgusting belief they can invade in other people private lives is just sick. I think that the audience from Gamejolt will move here and those guys will leave with toddlers - they fit each other by naivety of thinking.

Gamejolt went the same route as Patron they allowed certain content tell they got big enough then BAM they nuked you off there platform cause your not needed anymore. Then they show you there true colours that they are nothing more then puritans in disguise

(+1)

If they think removing porn will make them look good persons, then how they threw away they users and creators after they used them to grow will do just opposite

(-1)

Well everything is going "Woke" so it doesn't surprise me tho.

You can try to sell it on Steam :)

We can happily live without them. But it’s a dangerous precedent as other sites like Itch and Patreon may follow the “trend” if we’ll keep silence.
