(Sorry for late comment) are you Lina or Naira right now? if your Lina after a but you'll just go to a cutscene then you "win" the game but if your Naira you need to play it, judging by your comment I'm assuming your Naira, now I haven't played in a while so can you set the scene (so i can think about what to help you with exactly)

I think if you paid once for any games in Itch, especially if you have used an email during the transaction or have an Itch account. It will remember you have already paid for the game. For example, I paid for this game when it was in Episode 7, but still get to download Episode 8 month later.
make sure you check at the top of the page. It will say "You already paid this game" or something. Also if you make an itch account. It will keep track what games you "own" as in paid
